Chapel Hill Quest Center

A summary of the classes at the Chapel Hill Quest Center--in videos!

Below is a video sampling of our beginning youth and adult classes.  When you begin your training at the Chapel Hill Quest Center, you begin as a white belt.  White, Yelllow, and Yellow-Black belts study the fundamentals of self-defense as transmitted through the teachings of Stephen K. Hayes from his experience training in Japan.

Once through the beginner levels, students enter the advanced track toward their Black belts. The techniques and principles expect more of the students, but the culmination of four years of training is a true warrior.  This video gives a good sampling of the variety of advanced Ninjutsu techniques that you will be working toward--most of these students have trained for at least two years.

A distinct group of kids and teens in the Mon Jin have dedicated themselves to earning their Black belt. In the process, this class teaches the traditional techniques and philosophies once explored in feudal Japan.  Mon Jin is a group of students who have committed to continue their training until they earn their Black belts.  In class, they are distinguishable by their black gis.  Students are eligible to apply for Mon Jin once they reach their Yellow-Black belts.

The Mighty Dragons are made up of children who are anxious to begin training but are too young for the demand of the youth classes.  Kids ages 4-7 work through the White belt program with activities and games fit for their stature, enthusiasm, and attention span.  These classes have a focus on body awareness, coordination, using their voices and body language to communicate "Stop!", and fun!

The Quest Center is also home to an intense fitness program that is intended to enhance and supplement your martial arts training.  It is also an ideal stand-alone fitness program if you are looking to get incredible results--fast!

The Chapel Hill Quest Center also offers classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  We are a Gracie affiliate school and a member of Team ROC.  More information can be found at the Jiu-Jitsu website!
