Registration is now open! We have limited the number of tickets to ensure adequate space for training, camping and parking. Don’t wait to grab your ticket!

Please note: We have a new registration form to try to save everyone money on platform fees! We will be using Google Forms and Stripe Payments.

THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO: 

 

- An enhanced Yamabushi experience, which will now include a meditation hike to the waterfall AND an evening meditation in the house dojo. This experience is limited to 30 people, so don't wait to secure your spot! 
- THE WATERFALL - between extreme weather events and trail erosion, we haven't been able to access the waterfall in years! Well, we have received word that the waterfall is being reopened and access restored for 2026. You won't want to miss it!! 
- Family Friendly Activities - this year we are including even more family friendly activities, including hikes, sword battles, shuriken throwing and stealth games. We look forward to welcoming lots of families to the mountain this year. 
 

- A hotel block! We know not everyone likes to camp, so we have secured a block of rooms at a special rate at the Holiday Inn Express in Blowing Rock. Thursday June 25, 2026 
  • Yamabushi participants may arrive after 4pm to set up camp (weekend attendees must arrive Friday after 4pm) 
Friday June 26, 2026 
 
11am - 3pm: Yamabushi Hike and Meditation 
4pm - 6pm: Weekend Participants check in at campsite. The rest of the evening is free time to hang out at camp. 
 
7pm - 9pm: Yamabushi Meditation intensive in the house dojo 
 
Saturday June 27, 2026
 
10am - 4pm Training 
4pm - 5pm break 
5:30pm - 6:30pm Black Belt testing 
7pm - Dinner catered by Pedalin Pig *dinner tickets must be purchased for everyone planning on attending the dinner, dinner is not included in the ticket price this year
 
Sunday June 28, 2026 

9am - 11:30am Training 
11:30am - 12pm - Break 
12pm - Hike to waterfall, belt presentations and optional waterfall immersion 
 
4pm: Aim to be back at campsite and packing up to head out 
 
*** The schedule is just an idea of what the weekend will look like. We are at the mercy of the weather, so be ready to adjust and go with the flow! *** 


Where to Stay

Mountain Quest is hosted at a private estate on Grandfather Mountain. We have a camping area, but this is not a campground area equipped with showers. We have water and portable toilets on site. For those who do not wish to camp, the closest hotels are located in Blowing Rock, about a 20 minute drive from the site. **Candidates for Black Belt are STRONGLY encouraged to camp, this is part of your test!**
